Job description

Work in Wellness at the New Yora Nordic Spa

Something New Is Taking Shape

Opening in November 2026, Yora Nordic Spa is a place to pause, reconnect and experience wellbeing through nature, hydrotherapy and authentic human connection. It is a space where our team will create thoughtful and welcoming experiences that help guests reconnect with themselves, with others and with the natural world around them.

We are now beginning to build our founding teamโ€”the people who will bring Yora Nordic Spa to life and shape our culture from the very beginning. Working at Yora means working in wellness and contributing to a workplace and guest experience that are simple, inclusive, natural and social.

The Opportunity

The Housekeeping Manager will be one of the first members of our on-site leadership team. This role will recruit, welcome, train and lead the founding Housekeeping team who will prepare Yora Nordic Spa to open to our community in November 2026. This role is anticipated to start on or around September 28, 2026.

The Housekeeping Manager creates the spaces where wellbeing begins. Through thoughtful leadership, strong operations and an unwavering commitment to cleanliness and presentation, this role builds a team that creates calm, comfortable and restorative spaces, allowing guests to focus less on their surroundings and more on slowing down, reconnecting and feeling well.

What You Will Do
  • Recruit, onboard, coach and develop an engaged Housekeeping team.
  • Build a culture of care, pride, teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare the Housekeeping team for opening through clear standards, training and handsโ€‘on leadership.
  • Lead daily housekeeping operations across guestโ€‘facing, employee and backโ€‘ofโ€‘house areas of the spa.
  • Ensure spaces are consistently clean, organized, welcoming and presented to Yora standards.
  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal cleaning and deepโ€‘cleaning programs.
  • Manage scheduling, labour, linen, chemicals, cleaning equipment, supplies and inventory.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to cleanliness concerns and guestโ€‘recovery opportunities.
  • Partner with Maintenance and other departments to protect the appearance, condition and longevity of the facility.
  • Support sanitation, safety and regulatory compliance through effective standards, documentation and followโ€‘through.
  • Manage purchasing, vendor relationships, departmental labour and operating expenses responsibly.
  • Use guest feedback, quality inspections and operational information to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Set clear expectations, recognize strong performance and model Yora's values of Simple, Inclusive, Natural and Social.
What You Bring
  • Three to five years of leadership experience in housekeeping, wellness, hospitality or a comparable guestโ€‘service environment.
  • Experience leading, coaching and developing highโ€‘performing housekeeping teams.
  • Strong knowledge of sanitation standards, cleaning systems, chemicals, equipment and facility presentation.
  • Experience with scheduling, labour management, purchasing, inventory control and budgeting.
  • Strong communication, organization, operational planning and problemโ€‘solving skills.
  • Financial awareness and the ability to balance efficiency with consistently high cleanliness standards.
  • A visible, approachable and handsโ€‘on leadership style.
  • A genuine interest in wellness and creating environments where guests feel comfortable, cared for and able to reconnect.
Schedule

This is a fullโ€‘time, onโ€‘site leadership position. The Housekeeping Manager must be available to work a flexible schedule that may include mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays based on business needs. Additional flexibility will be required during the preโ€‘opening and opening periods.

Benefits and Perks

As a member of Yora's founding team, you will be eligible to participate in a range of employee benefits and perks, which are expected to include:

  • Health and wellness benefits.
  • Paid time off.
  • Employee wellness privileges and discounted experiences at Yora Nordic Spa locations.
  • Bistro and retail discounts.
  • Learning, growth and development opportunities within a growing wellness brand.

Yora is currently finalizing its employee benefit plans. Specific coverage, eligibility requirements, employee contributions and plan terms will be shared during the recruitment process and will be governed by the applicable plan documents.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

This is an active position that requires a visible presence throughout indoor and outdoor spa areas. The role involves extended periods of standing and walking, frequent bending, reaching, twisting and crouching, climbing stairs, pushing and pulling housekeeping equipment, and carrying routine cleaning supplies, linen or operational materials. Employees regularly work around water, humidity, steam, cleaning products, changing temperatures, outdoor weather conditions and wet or slippery surfaces. The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Reasonable Accommodation

Yora Nordic Spa provides reasonable accommodations to qualified applicants and employees in accordance with applicable law. To request an accommodation during the application or interview process, please contact People & Culture at careers@yoranordicspa.com.
