Job Title: SOX Analyst IV (ITGC & ERP Compliance - Contract)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and analytical SOX Analyst IV to support IT SOX compliance readiness during a major Oracle Cloud Fusion implementation. In this role, you will partner closely with cross-functional IT and business SOX teams to design, evaluate, and embed effective IT General Controls (ITGC) across access management, change control, and data migration workflows.
This is a critical, audit-facing advisory role requiring deep expertise in ERP system controls and regulatory compliance frameworks. You will assess downstream operational impacts, validate role designs and least privilege enforcement, collect audit evidence, and manage external auditor walkthroughs. Key Responsibilities
ERP Implementation & Control Design
• Control Embedding: Partner with IT and business units to embed robust SOX ITGC controls into core Oracle Cloud Fusion integration and deployment activities (spanning HR and Finance modules).
• Impact Assessment: Assess the downstream SOX and financial reporting risks associated with system configuration changes, complex data migrations, and interface integrations.
• Access & SoD Governance: Design and validate control coverage for user access provisioning, security role design, and Segregation of Duties (SoD) enforcement based on the principle of least privilege.
Audit Readiness & Testing
• Evidence Management: Collect, validate, and organize audit-ready documentation and evidence tied to integration and migration activities throughout the lifecycle.
• Auditor Walkthroughs: Lead and support external auditor walkthroughs, testing coordination, and technical inquiries.
• Risk & Remediation Tracking: Track control design progress, testing results, operational risks, and remediation statuses, delivering concise status updates to SOX leadership.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience Baseline: Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in IT SOX compliance, internal/external audit, or IT risk management within large corporate environments.
• Technical Mastery:
oProven hands-on experience designing and testing ITGCs for large-scale enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementations (specifically Oracle Cloud Fusion or similar cloud platforms).
oDeep understanding of access provisioning, security role architecture, and Segregation of Duties (SoD) frameworks.
oDemonstrated experience collaborating directly with Big Four or major external audit firms.
• Core Competencies: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; rigorous attention to detail; superior communication and executive reporting abilities.
Preferred Attributes
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CIA, CPA, or CISSP.
• Prior experience supporting complex multi-system data migrations and M&A integration controls.
