Southwest Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for a full-time remote position based in Savannah, Georgia. This role is integral to our mission of promoting healthy communities by delivering quality, patient-centered healthcare services, particularly within our Detox Center. The LCSW will provide essential clinical services to individuals experiencing major mental illness and severe emotional disorders, contributing significantly to their recovery and overall well-being.

This remote position offers flexibility and the ability to work from home while interacting with clients through telehealth platforms and online support systems. Although the majority of work will be conducted remotely, participation in occasional team meetings and training sessions may require virtual attendance. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional evening or weekend hours as needed based on client requirements.

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for clients experiencing severe mental health challenges.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to provide therapeutic interventions and crisis management, ensuring the safety and well-being of all clients.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, and support staff, to streamline treatment objectives and enhance service delivery.
• Engage in outreach initiatives within the community, effectively increasing awareness and access to mental health resources.
• Adhere to best practices in documentation and record-keeping, including maintaining confidentiality as per HIPAA regulations.
• Participate in ongoing professional development activities, including training in new therapeutic techniques and attending case review meetings.

The LCSW will primarily work with adults facing major mental health disorders and severe emotional challenges, including addiction-related issues. Many clients will be referred to the Detox Center, seeking comprehensive support for substance use disorders alongside their mental health needs. This role emphasizes empathy and understanding, as social workers will navigate various cultural backgrounds and individual experiences, tailoring interventions accordingly.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program, and a current LCSW license.
• Demonstrated understanding of mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, particularly for populations experiencing complex mental health issues.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, essential for effective client interaction and interprofessional collaboration.
• Exemplary organizational skills to manage a caseload and ensure timely intervention while maintaining detailed progress notes.

• At least 2 years of clinical experience in mental health or substance use treatment settings.
• Experience in crisis intervention and risk assessment, with a focus on providing support during critical incidents.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and tracking patient progress.
