Job description
JOB LOCATION: Meriden, Kansas; Kansas City, Missouri; non remote
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
Prepare detailed civil construction drawings, site plans, grading plans, and utility layouts for sports-related projects.
Draft plan sets, construction documents, and technical exhibits under the direction of Civil Designers and Project Managers.
Update and revise drawings based on redlines, design changes, and client/agency feedback.
Organize and maintain project files and drawing records throughout the design and construction process.
Coordinate drafting efforts with other team members including designers, engineers, architects, and field personnel.
Assist in performing quantity take-offs and supporting design calculations as needed.
Ensure drawings comply with company drafting standards, project specifications, and applicable codes.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Associate’s degree or certificate in Drafting, Civil Design Technology, or a related field.
2+ years of drafting experience in civil/site development, preferably with experience in sports, recreation, or commercial projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required.
Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, utility, and site layout drafting.
Familiarity with relevant codes, permitting processes, and construction documentation standards.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative project team.
Experience drafting for sports facilities, stadiums, or athletic complexes is a plus.
