Job Summary:
Recruiting a highly motivated physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join our Orthopaedic Surgery team at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Job responsibilities include:
  • Preoperative assessment, intra-operative assistance, and postoperative care in the hospital
  • Preoperative evaluation, postoperative followup, and on-going care in the clinical setting
  • Daily rounds, document notes, writing new orders and discharge instructions
  • Consults in hospital
  • Surgical First Assist to Othopaedic Surgeon for elective cases and when on Trauma call

Job Requirements:
  • Orthopaedic experience preferred
  • Strong work ethic with an ability to adapt to a variety of work responsibilities
  • Self-motivated to learn and work independently
  • Graduate of an accredited physician assistant or nurse practitioner program
  • Have a South Carolina license or the ability to get a South Carolina license prior to starting (license should not be restricted by patients age, must have the ability to legally see patients from Birth - Death)

North Strand ER is a 24-hour emergency department located in the North Myrtle Beach area.
Carolina Forest ER is a 24-hour emergency department located on Oakheart Road near the Hwy 501 side of Carolina Forest Blvd.
South Strand Medical Center features a 24-hour emergency department, imaging, lab, wound care program and behavioral health.
The Advanced Wound Center is an outpatient facility for the treatment of chronic non-healing wounds and hyperbaric technology.
The Breast Center provides outpatient diagnostic services including X-ray, CT scan and ultrasound. A dedicated women's center provides digital mammography (including 3D), breast education, bone densitometry, ultrasound and x-ray services.
Carolina Forest Imaging Center offers outpatient procedures including CT scan, MRI/Breast MRI and digital mammography (screening).
