The intern will work closely with the Climate Resilience team and contribute to research, stakeholder engagement, knowledge management, and coordination activities related to heat and health across South Asia.

The intern's responsibilities will include conducting stakeholder mapping and maintaining a database of organisations, experts, researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and other relevant actors working on heat, health, climate resilience, and related areas across South Asia. The intern will also assist with desk-based research, literature reviews, data collection, and synthesis of information on heat-related issues. This may include preparing meeting agendas and minutes, coordinating with participants, maintaining stakeholder records, and supporting communication and outreach activities. The intern may also assist in disseminating information and knowledge products through relevant communication channels.

The ideal candidate should have an educational background in climate studies, environmental studies, disaster management, public policy, development studies, or a related field. Candidates should have strong research, writing, and communication skills, with an interest in climate change, extreme heat, heat-health risks, and regional collaboration. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel, data management, and basic research tools will be an advantage. Prior experience in stakeholder mapping, research, outreach, or coordination will be desirable.

In addition to the duties and responsibilities outlined above, the intern should be willing to take on other tasks and responsibilities as required to support the effective implementation of the GHHIN South Asia Hub's activities.
