Not open to remote or hybrid work.As a Sourcing and Product Developer, you will lead execution of the Brand, category and strategy. You will serve as the key driver of the sourcing and product development process from initial concept through delivery. The Developer will implement strategies that will maximize gross profit, support the sourcing strategy, ensure design integrity and brand aesthetics. You will coordinate with designers, technical designers, merchandising, and vendors in taking product from the concept stage to production.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:· Own execution of product development and sourcing strategies, acting as the primary liaison between Design, Technical Design, Merchandising and Vendors.· Leads the development team and cross functional partners through the product development timeline from seasonal strategy, concept reviews, sample reviews, approvals, production release and launch. Address potential roadblocks in pursuing projects and find solutions or seek resources to solve problems.· Partner with leadership in developing the Global Sourcing Strategy aligned with corporate initiatives.· Develop an understanding of vendor/factory capabilities, tariff and duty - to recommend product allocation proposals to leadership.· Work closely with design and merchandising to understand the Brand, product category, product positioning and required functional performance for assigned brand, category or project· Drive product engineering opportunities through fabric, garment construction, vendor/mill, or country alternatives to meet IMU and speed to market goals.· Product Costing = Create cost analysis and prepare cost negotiation strategy to achieve margin initiative. Ability to analyze and negotiate with vendors.· Works closely with Designer to complete Technical Pack to factory for samples and Cost quotes. Ensures BOM (bill of materials) is accurate for factory execution.· Perform Product Review Meetings = Evaluate sample garments, address challenges regarding specifications, materials, or pricing. Communicate revisions/concerns to oversees vendor and develop solutions to address gaps in expectations.· Proactively identify and address product and process improvement projects.· Ensures product data management in PLM/Centric system is maintained and accurate.· Coordinates with quality team to ensure that all product testing procedures have been executed and advise on scheduling of new product factory PO audits.· Provides field testers with final samples for testing (if needed) - develop field testing requirements, analyze results, conduct follow-up reviews and adjust product if needed.· Ensure accuracy and submission of new item forms.· ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNEDEXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:· Preferred Degree: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Product Development, or Business· Experience: 7-10 years’ work experience with at least 5 years in product development role. Industry knowledge in the specified category.
