About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated Talent & HR Associate who will primarily focus on sourcing, engaging, and hiring top technical talent while also supporting broader HR Generalist functions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the fast-paced nature of recruiting but also wants exposure to core HR operations such as employee onboarding, policy support, and HR administration.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working closely with hiring managers, leadership, and employees across the organization.

Location: Hybrid - Arlington, VA (onsite 2 days/week)

Responsibilities:

Technical Recruiting (Primary – ~70%)

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand technical hiring needs and role requirements.
  • Source and recruit candidates for technical roles including software engineers, IT specialists, data professionals, and other technical staff.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle: sourcing, screening, interviewing, coordinating interviews, and offer negotiation.
  • Develop and maintain candidate pipelines using LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and other sourcing tools.
  • Track recruiting metrics and maintain accurate records in the ATS.
  • Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Support employer branding initiatives and job posting optimization.

HR Generalist Support (Secondary – ~30%)

  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation.
  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
  • Assist with HR policies, compliance, and employee communications.
  • Support employee lifecycle activities such as offboarding, benefits administration coordination, and internal HR programs.
  • Assist with HR reporting and administrative tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in technical recruiting.
  • 2+ years of HR generalist experience
  • Strong understanding of technical roles (software engineering, IT, data, etc.).
  • Experience sourcing candidates through platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and networking.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Experience with HR Generalist or HR operations tasks.
  • Familiarity with ATS platforms (ADP, Lever, Workday, etc.).
  • Knowledge of HR compliance and employment practices.
  • Experience supporting onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and employee data management best practices.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
