Job description

Source One is a consulting services company and we’re currently looking for the following individual to work as a consultant to our client, a ride-sharing autonomous vehicle company in Hayward, CA.


Title: Material Handler (Quality) - Contract

Pay: $31.10/hour

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Duration: Ongoing


Summary: This role will support the safe and efficient flow of materials in a high-volume manufacturing environment. You'll work closely with Quality, Production, and Logistics teams to manage inventory, move materials throughout the facility, and ensure production lines receive the materials they need on time. You'll play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and supporting smooth warehouse and manufacturing operations.


The ideal candidate will have experience in material handling, inventory control, warehouse operations, or manufacturing support. They are organized, safety-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.


Responsibilities:

- Support material flow processes within quality-owned warehouse and production areas.

- Process material transactions and maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems.

- Coordinate with Quality and Production teams to ensure materials are delivered according to manufacturing schedules.

- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies through physical verification and system-based research.

- Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to transport materials.

- Support warehouse organization and indirect material storage activities.

- Maintain 5S standards and follow all safety, PPE, and warehouse procedures.

- Ensure materials are transported, stored, and handled without damage.

- Monitor material needs throughout the shift and proactively support production requirements.


Required:

- Minimum 2 years of forklift operating experience

- Experience working in a warehouse, manufacturing, or production environment

- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines

- Strong problem-solving skills and sense of urgency

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

- Ability to work effectively with Quality, Production, and Logistics teams


Preferred:

- Experience with SAP or other inventory management systems

- Experience supporting inventory control and material transactions

- Familiarity with warehouse best practices and continuous improvement processes
