We are an integrated third-party logistics company, with a brokerage division, an in-house long-haul fleet, several warehouses around the country, and a retail consolidation business. We operate under three levels of services including Assets, Brokerage, and Warehousing.


Job Overview:

At Fusion, we are looking for a great Recruiting Specialist with a preferred successful track record in hiring top-performing freight brokers. The ideal candidate will possess deep 3PL industry knowledge and a keen understanding of the unique demands and qualifications necessary for success in freight brokering. This role requires a proactive, strategic approach to talent acquisition, ensuring our freight brokers meet and exceed company expectations and goals.

This is an on-site role with possibility of hybrid 1x/ week.

Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition Strategy:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy specifically targeting freight brokers.
  • Utilize industry-specific job boards, hiring platforms, and professional networks to identify and attract top talent.
  • Maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates through continuous networking and relationship-building.

Candidate Sourcing and Screening:

  • Source candidates through various channels, including direct sourcing and referrals.
  • Conduct thorough screening interviews to assess candidates’ qualifications, experience, and fit for the role.
  • Evaluate candidates’ understanding of freight brokering, including regulations, market dynamics, and operational challenges.

Hiring Manager Collaboration:

  • Work closely with hiring managers and departmental heads to understand specific hiring needs and role requirements.
  • Provide regular updates on recruitment progress and candidate status.
  • Advise on market trends and competitive hiring practices to ensure a competitive edge in attracting top talent.

Interview and Selection:

  • Coordinate and conduct structured interviews, utilizing behavioral and situational questions to evaluate candidates’ skills and competencies.
  • Assess candidates’ ability to meet company expectations and contribute to achieving business goals.
  • Facilitate feedback sessions with hiring teams to ensure thorough evaluation and alignment on candidate selection.

Metrics and Reporting:

  • Track and analyze key recruitment metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of sourcing and hiring strategies
  • Prepare regular reports on recruitment activities, including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and quality-of-hire metrics.
  • Continuously improve recruitment processes based on data-driven insights and feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year in the Freight/ 3PL Logistics and Transportation industries with a strong understanding of the brokerage industry & business model.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Proficient in using ATS, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and other recruitment tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
