Who you are:

This person is an inspirational leader who sits at the intersection of strategy and execution. They see every recruitment interaction as a moment to build trust and showcase our company behaviors to leave a lasting impression of who we are. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Talent and Development, they oversee talent acquisition strategy, internal mobility and pipeline development, university partnerships, offer extension and negotiation, recruitment materials, and new restaurant openings. They provide leadership support for best practices and guidance, while being a trusted partner to teams across our restaurants and home office.

What You’ll Do:

Consistently support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality

Build and own the roadmap for how USHG attracts and retains talent at all levels

Support the ongoing talent needs of all businesses within a growing restaurant group of QSR and fine dining establishments, with a focus on the candidate experience from identification and engagement to offer extension and closing

Lead, coach and develop a team of Talent Team members with an emphasis on quality assessment, speed, and high touch candidate experience

Proactively partner with hiring managers to build strong talent pipelines and identify internal transfer processes to support both business and employee growth needs

Build relationships with community partners, schools and universities to source top talent and candidates from underrepresented groups

Partner with the Marketing team to enhance our recruiting collateral and to promote USHG as a top employer through our social media channels

Partner with the People Team and support Talent driven HR needs with the employee life cycle

Leverage data to develop and track people metrics to present data informed recommendations on retention, engagement, and people growth

What We Need From You:

At least 7+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry

Demonstrated experience leading searches and successfully placing applicants for entry level manager to senior level leadership levels

Strong written and verbal communication and ability to negotiate effectively

Must have developed and implemented creative, timely, and cost-effective programs to identify, attract, and hire top-level candidates for employment

Keen understanding of the hospitality industry and connections within it

Sound HR judgement and sense of urgency

Bachelor’s degree and SHRM Certification preferred

Knowledgeable in HRIS Systems, with preference for UKG experience

Ability to work on-site in our home office in New York or within our businesses
