Job description

The Jr. Drafter - Lighting, Electrical and AV Design supports design projects by producing detailed technical drawings and schematics for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. Working within a small drafting team of 3-5 members and reporting to the Design Manager, this role requires collaboration, precision, and adherence to code compliance. Occasional client site visits are part of the position to ensure accurate implementation of designs.

Responsibilities

  • Create technical drafting for lighting, electrical schematics, and AV system designs.
  • Develop and update lighting layouts and CAD models using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Prepare detailed project documents and maintain code compliance for all designs.
  • Collaborate with design teams and project stakeholders to support project development.
  • Assist the Design Manager with project coordination and documentation.
  • Conduct occasional site visits to clients for design verification and adjustment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience in electrical and lighting drafting.
  • Associate's degree in Drafting, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and Revit for electrical and lighting design.
  • Strong skills in electrical design, lighting design, and AV system design.
  • Excellent technical drawing abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
