Position Overview: We are seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to support the management and growth of a well-established book of commercial insurance business. This role partners closely with Producers to retain clients, service policies, and identify opportunities for account expansion and new business. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and confident managing multiple client priorities in a fast-paced agency environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring clients receive accurate, timely, and high-quality service across the full policy lifecycle.

Work Arrangement: This is a full-time hybrid position working 1 day per week in our office located in Charlotte, NC.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Support Producers and clients in the day-to-day servicing and management of commercial insurance policies
  • Manage renewals in coordination with Producers, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to agency procedures
  • Prepare and submit new and renewal applications, including online rating and carrier submissions
  • Review carrier proposals for accuracy and identify key coverage differences and gaps
  • Prepare insurance summaries, proposals, schedules, and related client documentation
  • Issue and manage certificates of insurance, binders, policies, and related documents while ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Process policy changes, audits, and billing transactions while coordinating corrections with carriers and clients as needed
  • Maintain accurate client and policy records within Applied Epic in accordance with agency standards
  • Communicate with clients, carriers, and internal teams to resolve service requests and ensure smooth policy execution

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in commercial lines account management or a similar insurance servicing role
  • Active North Carolina Property & Casualty Insurance License
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, coverage types, and policy structures
  • Knowledge of insurance markets, rating, and underwriting processes
  • Experience with Applied Epic or similar agency management systems preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in policy documentation and transactions
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, producers, and carriers
  • Commitment to professionalism, accountability, and client service excellence
