Description
We are currently seeking a Family Practice Physician at our location in Bigfork, MN. Scenic Rivers Health Services is a Federally Qualified Health Center which enables you to focus on the patient and not production. Physician driven patient care. Clinic schedules and patient appointments are quality focused creating a rewarding practice.
Scenic Rivers prioritizes a healthy work life balance offering flexibility in scheduling, offering full spectrum and outpatient only opportunities, and lower patient volumes allowing adequate time with your patients.
The clinic is adjoined with the Bigfork Valley Hospital, and together we offer a continuum of quality healthcare to our surrounding communities. Hospital coverage includes providing care in the nursing home, hospital and emergency room. Our physicians play a vital and rewarding role in the communities. The position is uniquely diverse, challenging and gratifying. It is a rare opportunity to practice full spectrum medicine with a collaborative team of physicians and still have time to interact with your patients.
EPIC is our fully implemented EMR product and is used for all documentation. All necessary Medical and EMR training will be tailored to your individual needs.
Scheduling Options:
Full Spectrum -

  • Work weeks are 1 call shift and 3 clinic shifts, totaling a 4-day work week
  • Clinic shifts are based on 6 hours of patient contact and 2 hours Admin time for charting, hospital rounds and lunch
  • Shared On-Call Schedule; Weekday shift is 24 hours with no OB, Ten, 48-hour weekend call shifts per year
  • Example patient appointment blocks: 45 minute physicals/pre-ops, 30 minute chronic disease visits
  • Average Volumes:
    • Clinic: 12-16 patients per day
    • Emergency Room: 1,530 annual volume with level IV Trauma designation
Clinic Only Option-
  • Work weeks are 3 to 5 clinic shifts
  • Clinic shifts are based on 6 hours of patient contact and 2 hours Admin time for charting and lunch
  • Average Volumes:
    • Clinic: 12-16 patients per day

Requirements
  • Emergency Department Experience for full spectrum option
  • Chronic and Acute care for all life cycles must be provided
  • Current or eligible for MN License
  • DEA license
  • Board Certified in Family Practice
  • Advanced life support certifications
