Envision is seeking a motivated, career, and customer-oriented Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Research, develop, plan, and design mechanical and electromechanical products, systems, and equipment.
  • Analyze customer requirements, technical specifications, engineering data, and design proposals to determine project feasibility and design approach.
  • Design and develop mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, electromechanical, and automated systems utilizing sound engineering principles and industry best practices.
  • Create and maintain engineering drawings, models, and technical documentation using ComputerAided Design (CAD) tools.
  • Develop testing methodologies, procedures, and validation plans to evaluate system performance and reliability.
  • Lead and coordinate fabrication, assembly, installation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with engineering requirements and customer specifications.
  • Support operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair efforts to maximize equipment performance and system availability.
  • Evaluate fielded systems and installations, identify deficiencies, and recommend design improvements or corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including electrical, software, manufacturing, quality, and program management personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff as needed.
  • REQUIRED SKILLS
  • 8 plus years of professional Mechanical Engineering experience.
  • Experience designing, developing, testing, and integrating mechanical or electromechanical systems
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and system integration.
  • Experience developing technical documentation, engineering drawings, and test procedures.
  • DESIRED SKILLS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
