Sorter Job Description 

This facility will be sorting packages into categories, and preparing the items for shipment. Sorters play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient processing and handling of packages to enhance customer reliability and security. 

Sorter Job Responsibilities

  • Efficiently sort and inspect packages, items into categories based on established criteria
  • Work closely with team members to meet sorting targets and ensure timely processing
  •  Adhere to safety and security protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Sorter Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Previous experience in sorting or warehouse operations is a plus but not required. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to pay attention to detail to ensure accuracy
  • Ability to lift/move up to 35 pounds solo and greater weights in a team-lift environment
  • Lifting, carrying, bending, stretching, and standing for long periods of time
  • Employees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms, and horns that are used to warn employees of the start-up, movement, or approach of equipment (including forklifts, turrets, overhead cranes, conveyors, trucks, and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse), mechanical abnormalities, and similar risk situations during warehouse operations
