Scrap Yard Warehouse Associate
Location: Tacoma, WA
Pay: $23.97/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM


Looking for a stable, long-term career where you can put your warehouse and forklift experience to work? Join a well-established metal recycling company that offers competitive pay, excellent benefits, and a union work environment.
This hands-on role combines warehouse work, material sorting, and forklift operation in both indoor and outdoor settings. Forklift operation makes up about 10–20% of your day, with the remainder spent moving, sorting, and processing materials as part of a hardworking team.
What You'll Do
  • Operate forklifts and other equipment safely
  • Sort, weigh, and process scrap metal materials
  • Load, unload, and move materials throughout the yard
  • Perform basic equipment inspections
  • Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Maintain a clean work area and follow all safety procedures
What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years of warehouse or industrial experience
  • 2+ years of forklift operating experience
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Previous employer-issued forklift certification (expired is okay)
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in a loud, dusty industrial environment
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical work throughout the shift
