Job description

Job Summary
Human Resources Records and Information Services (HRRIS) is looking for a temporary office assistant to provide onsite support to our unemployment compensation claims processing. The roles are estimated to go through summer 2026, with potential to extend based on availability of work.
Responsibilities*
  • Perform simple office work such as data entry, sorting & distributing incoming documents, creating copies and scanning documents as needed.
  • Maintain physical and digital office files and records.
  • Pull information for claims, research/reachout for more information or clarification. Contact UM partners to gather any missing details to clarify discrepancies.
  • Accurately enter and update information to records in the Third Party Administrator Portal (TPA).
  • Operate office equipment such as multi-line Zoom phone system, scanner, and printer.
  • Partner and communicate effectively with other HRRIS staff in order to support the work.
  • Other clerical duties as assigned, may include creating spreadsheets, updating contact lists, and preparing documents for meetings.

Required Qualifications*
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office applications (MS Excel and Word), and Google products (Gmail, Sheets, & Docs)
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

Desired Qualifications*
  • Experience using HR Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, other HRIS applications, and document imaging software.

Work Schedule
This is a hybrid position with both onsite and remote work expected for 24-30 hours per week, with the possibility of up to 40 hours per week based on candidate availability, Monday
through Friday. Open to flexibility with scheduling.
