  • This is an on-site position based out of our Romeoville, IL Distribution Center

  • This role is a People leader position


A day in the life as a Facilities and Maintenance Manager....

  • Execute the site maintenance & facilities strategy aligned with business goals

  • Own strategic relationships with site specific vendors (e.g., conveyance, sortation, automation, forklifts, HVAC, electrical / mechanical contractors) as well as sourcing new vendors capable of reducing cost and improving service

  • Recruit, coach, and develop an on-site maintenance team

  • Oversee site maintenance and reliability program for conveyors, sorters, forklifts, and other MHE

  • Own spare-parts strategy, critical spares stocking, and vendor-managed inventory

  • Ensure OSHA compliance, site-safety programs, contractor oversight, and regulatory inspections. Develop and manage service contracts for HVAC, fire/life safety, roofing, and specialty vendors

  • Maintain disaster recovery plans for critical systems, lead escalation for site outages, and coordinate cross-functional incident response

  • Own and be held accountable to facility maintenance OPEX and CAPEX budget

What you'll bring to the table...

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with conveyors, sortation equipment, palletizers, forklifts and heavy MHE

  • Familiarity with PLCs/HMI (programming, troubleshooting) and experience working with controls engineers/integrators

  • Excellent leadership, vendor management, and cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams, influencing key stakeholders, and communicate effectively

  • Must be flexible with schedule and hours to oversee and respond to the needs of the operation


We'd love to hear from you if you have...

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or equivalent technical field (or equivalent experience)

  • 7+ years of progressive facilities experience in distribution environment, with at least 5 years in a hands-on technician role

  • Experience managing teams across multiple shifts
