GENERAL FUNCTION:
The Maintenance Tech I performs maintenance actions on any facility equipment in order to support production needs. The Maintenance Tech I is responsible for all duties involved in the immediate as well as preventative maintenance of distribution center equipment and grounds.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Shifts maintenance coverage to support equipment operation, troubleshooting and repair.
  • Completes fabrication, assembly and welding projects as required.
  • Repairs mechanical breakdowns and troubleshoots all facility equipment.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of process control programs– calibration of scanners, cameras, PLCs, including all facets of Intelligrated and Beumer Sortation Systems.
  • Supports set up and tear down of company meetings and other activities.
  • Supports building maintenance painting, cleaning, construction, plumbing, and lighting repairs.
  • Responsible for all Fire System Operation and Testing to include all recordkeeping.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or GED and one year related experience.
  • Welding and Fabrication experience or training.
  • Experience in basic building repairs and maintenance.
  • Experienced working with a maintenance team.
  • Mechanical repair experience with some understanding of electrical systems.
  • Mechanical Skills.
  • Welding and Fabrication Skills.
  • Ability to work safely and neatly within a maintenance team environment.
  • Ability to work with or without direct supervision.
  • Ability to climb and work at heights.
  • Ability to use a computer, check emails, order parts, and basic understanding of Word and Excel.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years related experience.
