Job description

Position: Battery Technician
Shift: 1st Shift (Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM)
Pay Rate: $18.50/hour
Job Description
As a Battery Technician, you will play a key role in the repair, refurbishment, and repurposing of hybrid and electric vehicle batteries. Working in a fast-paced team environment, you will support the production process by ensuring batteries are restored to optimal condition.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and test incoming battery packs.
  • Sort and organize materials as needed.
  • Perform minor diagnostics to identify root causes of battery issues.
  • Disassemble battery packs, separating components for recycling.
  • Rebuild battery packs using calibrated tools, installing new parts (Arrays, BBM’s, BECM’s, etc.).
  • Test rebuilt batteries using advanced cyclers and test stands to ensure proper functionality.
  • Prepare and stage batteries for shipment.
  • Follow strict safety protocols and contribute to a culture of workplace safety.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior assembly or technical experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing English.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks (standing, kneeling, climbing, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
