We are a certified B Corp in the Electronics and Sustainability field, with facilities in Tempe, AZ, Austin, TX, and Palo Alto, CA.
Job Summary:
The Sort Technician is responsible for capturing the details of every IT asset DMD receives. This is a primary service we offer to our customers that helps with their reconciliation and demonstrating responsible disposition of their electronics. Based on the item, the condition, and customer needs, this role determines the next phase of the process. This requires the ability to consult decision matrices and interpret incomplete information to maximize the value of each asset.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Capture associated IT asset data and enter into our system
  • Determine the next phase of the process for each item
  • Organize equipment based on type, value, or other criteria as necessary
  • Separate items based on resale or recycle
  • Recommendations and actions to improve the department and outcomes
  • Offsite projects as appropriate
  • Other duties as necessary and assigned

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Computer basics including data entry
  • Must have great communication skills, be detailed-oriented, and consistency
  • Previous warehouse experience preferred

Physical Requirements:
  • May include standing for long periods of time, squatting, twisting, bending, and lifting between 10-50 lbs. (or more) regularly.
