Location: 565 S Pinnacle Drive Romeoville, IL 60446. This position is performed onsite at one of the Company’s operational facilities, unless otherwise specified in the job posting.

Compensation: The expected starting base pay range for this position is $88,200 - $110,250, with a full potential base salary range over a successful candidate’s tenure in the position of $88,200 - $132,300. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and other job-related factors.

Shift: Wednesday through Saturday from 3:00 PM to 12:00 PM (or end of shift)(Schedule subject to change based on the needs of the business)

Employment Logistics: 

As an Operations Manager for OnTrac, you will report directly to the Regional Manager of the facility and be responsible for managing all the sort activities and volume within an assigned area. In addition, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing change to enhance business outcomes within the operation.

The Must-Haves:

  • GED/Diploma required, BA/BS college degree in related discipline preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years of industry experience – (ex. logistics, shipping, 3PL) with at least 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience
  • Ability to effectively evaluate and summarize data and present answers to questions
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft office and mathematical skills
  • Effective communication skills including the ability to give honest, constructive feedback
  • Experience with hiring, training, motivating, disciplining, and completing performance evaluations for employees

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

  • You will regularly need to talk or listen.  
  • You will frequently need to stand, walk, sit, and use your hands to handle or feel.  
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.

Your Mission in Motion:

  • Manage, staff and schedule a team of Package Handlers and Lead Package Handlers in an assigned area in the facility to ensure quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Monitor employee progress, provide ongoing feedback, identify areas for improvement, and address performance/attendance.
  • Conduct pre-sort meetings, keeping employees informed of daily goals, upcoming events, and safety priorities. Maintain an open line of communication to engage employees.
  • Record and manage the departures/arrivals of and the flow of volume from designated Linehauls.
  • Execute various administrative duties, including but not limited to, safety training, operational audits, and end of shift reporting.

  • You apply knowledge of OSHA requirements in daily work practices.
  • You maintain a flexible schedule to support 24-hour operations, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays when needed.
