Job description

Job Title: Feeder Operator 
Location: Harrison, AR 72601, USA
Duration: 6 MONTHS Temp to Hire
Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay Rate: $15.00/hr on W2 without benefits

Interview Process: Group Tours Required

Additional Requirements: Must be able to stand for 8 hours, quickly identify defects, attention to detail, must be able to obtain a fork truck license, high school graduate or equivalent, basic math aptitude, ability to read a ruler.

The promotable general labor position is required to perform quality checks on the product produced on the machines during their shift. Quality issues should be brought to the attention of management and proper segregation procedures followed.
Safety / 5S / SQF
The promotable general labor pool helps maintain a clean/safe working environment for themselves and employees in their work area. This position will help department meet 5S and SQF guidelines and immediately report any food safety concerns to management.
Summary:
Performs all general labor job expectations and responsibilities in the general manufacturing plant. Duties change to department, machine specific, and/or position specific duties as candidates in pool bid to other departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Promotable General Labor
  • Follow all SOP’s, safety rules, and other duties as assigned by shift manager while maintaining a clean, safe work area.
  • Set up work area (gather materials needed according to job spec). Items may include: corrugated, white waste pads, pads, labels, plastic, banding, etc.
  • Visually and manually inspect cartons for gluing and folding defects
  • Packs cartons into corrugated case according to customer specs
  • Apply individual case label on case and push case trough case sealer onto main conveyor
  • Visually inspects cartons for defects and pack into corrugated cases by customer specification
  • Visually sort flat cartons by layouts and pack according to corrugated cases by customer specification
  • Operate hand-lift jack to move pallets of cases or to raise/lower loads to maintain waist level working condition
  • Sort material in accordance with set criteria and assist in special sorting projects as required
  • Ability to read written instructions and ability to follow verbal instructions
  • And, anything else deemed necessary by shift manager, department manager, or management
Qualification / Requirement:
  • Basic math aptitude; individual must know basic math skills and be able to read a ruler.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Must be able to obtain a fork truck license.
