Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable Dismantling & Sorting Associate to support the processing, sorting, dismantling, and preparation of electronic materials for recycling, resale, and downstream processing. This position involves working with a variety of electronic devices, using hand and power tools, properly sorting materials, and ensuring all materials are accurately labeled, packaged, and handled according to company safety and environmental procedures.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Sort and identify electronic devices and materials for resale, dismantling, recycling, or destruction.
  • Safely unload and process materials from pallets, Gaylords, and containers.
  • Dismantle electronic devices using appropriate hand and power tools.
  • Separate materials into designated commodity streams while preventing cross-contamination.
  • Sort and properly package various types of universal waste batteries.
  • Label materials and containers accurately and according to company requirements.
  • Package materials securely to prevent breakage, leakage, damage, or other hazards.
  • Identify and properly handle data-bearing devices, batteries, and potentially hazardous materials.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety, environmental, and material-handling procedures.
  • Immediately report spills, leaks, injuries, property damage, unknown materials, or other safety concerns to management.
  • Follow project-specific instructions provided by leads, supervisors, or managers.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.
  • Ability to safely handle and process electronic equipment and materials.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to properly sort, label, package, and organize materials.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures.
  • Previous warehouse, recycling, electronics, manufacturing, or material-handling experience is a plus, but not required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old 
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must be able to lift at least 50Lbs
Must be able to maintain all applicable quality, environmental, health and safety practices.
No felony convictions in the last 7 years for theft, fraud, or burglary.
