ABOUT THE POSITION

The SOREL Senior Email Marketing Specialist will own the end-to-end execution and optimization of email marketing. This role is responsible for building and scaling a high performing email program that drives revenue, retention, and customer lifetime value.

This individual will lead the email calendar and execution across campaigns and triggered programs, leveraging data driven insights, segmentation strategies, and testing frameworks to continuously improve performance. A strong technical foundation is required, as the role involves hands-on email development and deployment within Zeta (or similar ESPs), including HTML and dynamic content customization.

This role requires close cross-functional collaboration with Brand, Creative, Merchandising, and DTC teams to ensure alignment on product launches, promotions, and brand storytelling, while maintaining best-in-class email deliverability and list health.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Own and manage the email marketing calendar, aligning campaigns with merchandising priorities, product drops, and seasonal initiatives

  • Execute batch campaigns end-to-end (build, QA, deploy) within Zeta

  • Lead A/B testing strategy, including subject lines, creative, personalization, and send-time optimization

  • Design and optimize customer journeys, including onboarding, post-purchase, retention, and win-back flows

  • Develop and maintain triggered lifecycle programs (e.g., abandoned cart/browse, replenishment)

  • Build and refine audience segmentation strategies to drive personalization and targeting effectiveness

  • Analyze performance and deliver actionable insights through regular reporting and readouts for batch, lifecycle, journeys and tests.

  • Maintain strong email list health, including subscriber growth, engagement, deliverability, and compliance

  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure cohesive messaging and campaign execution across customer touchpoints

YOU ARE

  • An online shopper, familiar with creating best practices for online experiences.

  • A team player, who enjoys and thrives in a cross-collaborative organization.

  • A change agent - comfortable working within ambiguity and pivoting strategically based on performance.

  • A sharp, critical thinker with effective problem-solving skills.

YOU HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree, applicable certification or equivalent experience.

  • 7+ years of experience in email marketing, preferably within DTC eCommerce or retail (footwear/apparel a plus)

  • Hands-on experience with Zeta or similar enterprise level ESPs; Zeta experience preferred

  • Strong experience with HTML and/or Liquid templating (required for campaign setup and customization)

  • Demonstrated success managing email lifecycle programs, including triggered flows and journey orchestration and SMS

  • Proven track record with A/B testing frameworks and performance optimization

  • Deep understanding of customer segmentation, personalization, and targeting strategies

  • Expertise in email analytics and reporting, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights

  • Familiarity with email deliverability best practices, including list hygiene, spam compliance, and engagement monitoring

  • Strong understanding of DTC business models, merchandising cycles, and promotional strategies.

  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills and experience working with Creative, Brand, and Merchandising teams.
