Job Summary: The Field Manufacturing Support Engineer will handle in-house and onsite repairs and calibrations of ATEQ Leak and Flow quality testing instruments within a manufacturing environment. This is not an IT Support role, this is a Manufacturing Field Service position.


Compensation:

Base Salary range is from $26.00- $29/hour, depending upon qualifications and experience.

In addition to base pay, this position offers significant overtime opportunities due to travel to customer sites. Our Service Technicians typically earn approximately 30–40% above their base pay through overtime, depending on customer demand, travel schedule, and hours worked.

Job Responsibilities include:

Service and calibration of ATEQ products returned from industrial machining manufacturing customers. Travel to customers for onsite service, calibration, and tech support, within a manufacturing environment.

Responsible for the Set up, integration and thorough testing of industrial machining manufacturing equipment and systems at various client locations to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.

Demonstrate industrial machining manufacturing equipment performance and capabilities to customers, confirming proper operation and satisfaction with system standards. Perform emergency repairs by diagnosing technical issues, implementing effective and timely solutions.

Application design and set up for new and existing ATEQ and VIC equipment.

Maintain proper documentation of services.

Answer service-related phone calls from customers. Troubleshoot customer issues over phone or email. Communicate clearly and proactively with both customers and internal teams to provide timely service updates and maintain alignment. Ensure prompt and accurate resolution of issues. Educate and assist clients on proper equipment operation, maximizing efficiency and user confidence. Make follow up calls to customers regarding recently serviced instruments.

Perform ISO 17025 Calibrations according to the procedures.

Submit detailed service reports, including parts used, time spent, and corrective actions taken.

Quote repairs/calibrations in the workshop or onsite

Assist in integration of ATEQ and VIC customer support departments

Assist in Design and engineering for sales team

Required Skills/Abilities:

Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Technology

Two years of relevant experience

Technical background with the ability to operate various types of service and calibration equipment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience in direct face to face customer service on and off site

Ability to follow processes with attention to detail.

Valid Drivers License

Physical Requirements:

Sitting for prolonged periods of time

Customer attendance expected 50% of the time, including travel

Able to lift up to 75 pounds
