About the role

As a Growth Strategy and Analytics Manager, you will be part of the Growth Marketing team, sitting at the intersection of growth and marketing while collaborating with Finance and CDI (Analytics) teams. You will collaborate with several teams to design long-term business strategies, track impactful initiatives that increase subscriber growth, and coordinate comprehensive budget allocations to deliver maximum return on investment. You will combine data inference with creative execution to provide business recommendations for market and regional dynamics, marketing channels, and attribution, and content-driven consumer platforms.

Core Areas of ResponsibilityStrategic Investment Planning and Budget Leadership:
  • Drive the orchestration of marketing investments, business planning, and executive reporting across brand, performance, and lifecycle teams.
  • Develop dynamic budget allocation models based on real-time performance insights, ROI analysis, and growth objectives.
  • Support and help act as the strategic conduit across Growth, Finance, and CDI to ensure budget transparency, performance alignment, and investment accountability.

Budget Forecasting & ROI Optimization:

  • Drive budget forecasting and tracking, scenario planning, and performance reporting in partnership with CDI and Finance.
  • Work with channel leaders to compile cross-channel marketing data into executive-ready insights and develop strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborate with CDI (Analytics) and Finance teams to ensure alignment and reporting accuracy.

Performance Intelligence & Incrementality Strategy:

  • Design and execute incrementality tests to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns along with channel managers.
  • Translate test outcomes into actionable spend shifts and campaign design improvements, driving measurable lift and increased marketing ROI.
  • Develop and leverage insights from attribution, incrementality tests, and media mix models.
  • Monitor important business metrics to track campaign performance.
  • Analyze and develop views and strategies on budget deployment based on the content calendar and seasonality.

AI & Marketing Innovation Leadership:

  • Support integration of AI and machine learning into marketing decision-making, including media mix modeling, spend reallocation, and forecast optimization.
  • Partner with MarTech and CDI to operationalize AI tools-LLMs, campaign tagging automation, and experimentation diagnostics.
  • Identify and execute innovation pilots with the potential to scale across Sony's ecosystem.

Interdepartmental Enablement & Leadership Support:

  • Work with Growth teams to drive alignment on priorities, budgets, and business plans.
  • Develop and lead executive-level communications, weekly business reviews, and board-level decks in collaboration with the SVP.

In the role of Growth Strategy and Analytics Manager, you will report to the Director, Growth Planning.

About the Team

The Growth Planning and Budget Allocation team will be responsible for planning, tracking, and allocating budgets across several teams. These teams include Brand, Performance Marketing, and Lifecycle Marketing, all of which are part of the Growth team. The goal is to ensure we spend towards the highest ROI initiatives. You will work with CDI, Finance, Growth, Marketing, and Regional teams to level up our budget planning, subscriber, and free trial forecasting initiative tracking process.
