Job description

Somerset Health Services is excited to welcome a compassionate and detailoriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to our Somerset Allergy Clinic. This outpatient position is perfect for an LPN who thrives in a structured, patientfocused environment and enjoys building meaningful relationships with individuals managing allergyrelated conditions.If you're looking for a rewarding clinical role with consistent daylight hours and no weekend or holiday requirements, this could be the ideal fit.What You'll Do
As a key member of our allergy care team, you will:
  • Administer allergy injections to approximately 80+ patients per day and address patient questions with confidence and care
  • Receive and respond to calls from outside offices regarding dose adjustments
  • Perform allergy skin testing for patients of all ages, interpret results, and communicate findings to patients or guardians
  • Mix allergy serums for patients following compliance completion
  • Administer Xolair injections per physician orders on a 14-28day schedule
  • Document all clinical activities, interventions, medications, and patient responses accurately in the medical record
  • Provide patient education and reinforce physician instructions to promote wellness
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of medical records and sensitive patient information
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health, and other regulatory standards
  • Follow all Somerset Health Services policies and procedures
  • Contribute to a safe, efficient, and compassionate outpatient environment

What We're Looking For

  • A dedicated licensed LPN with strong clinical skills and excellent communication abilities
  • Someone who is organized, dependable, and committed to delivering highquality patient care
  • A teamoriented professional who thrives in a fastpaced outpatient setting
  • Prior allergy injection experience preferred.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
    • CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal

*Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
