2nd Shift 4 pm - 12 am available
Primary Objective:
Facilitates the needs of the carpet roll shipping, receiving and inventory areas. Assists Lift Truck Operators with locating inventory.
Major Function and Scope:
  • Reprints tickets as necessary for Lift Truck Operators.
  • Assists Lift Truck Operators with locating inventory.
  • Replaces malfunctioning RF scan guns on lift trucks.
  • Identifies rolls with missing Unit ID's by means of color guide.
  • Facilitates placement of trailers at docks.
  • Adjusts carpet roll inventory when necessary to remove small rolls.
  • Works with swatching vendors.
  • Works with other internal plants to solve issues.
  • May occasionally be called upon to act as a Glue Line Swatcher.
  • Performs cleanup area at shift end.
  • Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
  • Follow all established standard operating procedures
  • Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
  • Perform other tasks assigned by management

Type of Experience and Knowledge:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Computer skills required:
    Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PP)
    AS400 experience is a plus
  • At least 3 years of experience working in an office setting.

Competencies:
  • Employee must possess ability to determine colors and styles against a color guide as well as have a good understanding of inventory practices.
  • Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors)
  • Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point)
  • Ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
  • Follows established quality and safety standards
