Position Description: We are seeking an experienced Rosin Lab Manager to oversee all aspects of solventless cannabis extraction and rosin production. This individual will be responsible for managing the rosin lab from start to finish, ensuring quality, consistency, compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement throughout the entire production process.The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience with solventless extraction, including ice water hash production, freeze drying, pressing, post-processing, packaging, inventory management, equipment maintenance, and team leadership.Essential ResponsibilitiesRosin Production & ProcessingManage all stages of solventless extraction operations from A to Z.Oversee ice water hash production, collection, sieving, drying, and storage.Operate and maintain freeze dryers and rosin press equipment.Execute and optimize pressing techniques for maximum yield and quality.Perform post-processing procedures including curing, cold curing, baddering, and consistency refinement.Ensure all products meet company quality standards and state compliance requirements.Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all production processes.Lab ManagementLead daily lab operations, production scheduling, and workflow management.Monitor production metrics, yields, efficiencies, and waste reduction initiatives.Maintain accurate production records, inventory logs, and compliance documentation.Coordinate equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance programs.Manage raw material intake, storage, and production planning.Team LeadershipRecruit, train, coach, and develop lab technicians and production staff.Establish performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback.Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.Ensure proper staffing levels to meet production goals.Compliance & Quality AssuranceMaintain compliance with all Michigan cannabis regulations.Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and sanitation standards.Implement quality control procedures throughout the production process.Prepare for and support regulatory inspections and audits.Maintain a safe and organized work environment.Qualifications3+ years of hands-on solventless extraction experience required.2+ years of management or supervisory experience preferred.Extensive knowledge of ice water hash and rosin production techniques.Experience operating freeze dryers, rosin presses, and related extraction equipment.Strong understanding of cannabis manufacturing regulations and compliance requirements.Proven ability to manage production schedules and achieve output targets.Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a production environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience scaling commercial solventless extraction operations.Background in process optimization and yield improvement.Cannabis industry experience in a regulated market.Knowledge of METRC and inventory management systems.Experience developing SOPs and training programs.What We OfferCompetitive salary based on experience.Health, dental, and vision benefits.Paid time off and company holidays.Career growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding cannabis organization.Opportunity to lead and build a best-in-class solventless extraction program.Apply TodayIf you are passionate about solventless cannabis extraction and have the expertise to lead a high-performing rosin lab from cultivation input to finished product, we encourage you to apply and become a key part of our growing team.
