JOB SUMMARY

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing technology projects by planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects within the predefined scope, time, and budget constraints. The primary responsibilities for this role involve leading cross-functional project teams, managing resources, and ensuring effective communication among stakeholders to deliver exceptional customer experiences and successful project outcomes.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop project plans, goals, and budgets: identify resources needed, develop schedules, and measure results
  • Understand overall project objectives as well as the role and function of each project team member
  • Ensure the project objectives and requirements are clear and agreed upon by all project team members
  • Provide effective and timely communication to all project stakeholders
  • Assist project team in design and development tasks as needed
  • Collaborate with service managers on resource allocation and with account managers on managing customer expectations
  • Organize and manage all phases of the project to ensure on-time completion within budgetary requirements
  • Drive problem solving and resolution as required
  • Ensuring risks are identified, communicated, and mitigated so that projects are delivered successfully from start to finish
  • Design and maintain project documentation
  • Other duties as assigned

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain customer experience and satisfaction
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
  • Escalate project issues that cannot be completed within agreed service levels
  • Effective communication with customers: keeping them informed of progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages, etc.
  • Business awareness: specific knowledge of the customer and how IT relates to their business strategy and goals
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the service catalog and how it relates to customer's needs
  • Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities
  • Responsible for documenting time and expenses in an accurate manner as they occur
  • Enter all work as activities, service tickets, or project tickets
  • Keep up to date on industry news to remain knowledgeable with current and future technologies emerging in the industry

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • 3-5 years of Project Management experience leading cross-functional project teams 
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred 
  • Knowledge, experience, and desire to lead projects 
  • Strong analytical, organization and custom experience skills  
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills  
  • Interpersonal skills including problem solving, active listening, and customer experience  
  • Ability to effectively manage customer expectations  
  • Knowledge of IT applications, processes, software, and equipment 
  • Service awareness of all organization's IT services for which support is being provided 
  • Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services 
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment
