Job description

Position Title: Solution Architect - Enterprise Network Security
Position Location: Remote in the San Francisco Bay Area OR the Seattle, WA Area as this position will cover both areas.
Reports to: Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Solution Architect to support client engagements through the design, development, and presentation of enterprise networking, data center, and security solutions. This role serves as a technical leader throughout the sales and delivery lifecycle, working closely with account teams, engineering resources, and clients to develop scalable, resilient, and secure technology solutions.
The ideal candidate brings strong consulting and technical expertise across enterprise networking, data center infrastructure, and cybersecurity technologies, with deep experience in HPE Aruba Networking and HPE Juniper Networking solutions. Cisco experience is desirable, along with expertise in leading network security platforms including Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, and Cisco Security.
This position requires the ability to translate business requirements into technical architectures, develop solution designs, support customer presentations, and collaborate with delivery teams to ensure successful implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Development & Architecture
  • Design and develop enterprise networking, data center, and security solutions for new and existing clients.
  • Gather business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable, resilient, and secure architectures.
  • Develop high-level designs (HLDs), low-level designs (LLDs), reference architectures, and technical recommendations.
  • Conduct technical workshops, discovery sessions, and architecture reviews.
  • Validate solution designs against performance, availability, security, and operational requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from initial discovery through implementation and transition.

Pre-Sales & Customer Engagement
  • Partner with account managers and business development teams to support customer opportunities.
  • Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and solution reviews.
  • Participate in customer meetings to understand business objectives and technical requirements.
  • Support RFP, RFI, and proposal development activities.
  • Assist with scope development, effort estimation, and Statement of Work (SOW) creation.
  • Support the technical positioning of professional services and managed services offerings.

Architecture & Advisory
  • Lead the development of architectures across three core domains:
    • Enterprise Campus & Branch Networking
    • Data Center Networking
    • Network Security
  • Provide design guidance and technical oversight to engineering and delivery teams.
  • Develop standards and best practices for networking, security, and infrastructure solutions.
  • Ensure proposed solutions align with industry best practices for scalability, resiliency, security, and operational efficiency.

Collaboration & Technical Leadership
  • Work closely with engineering, delivery, and managed services teams to ensure successful implementation of proposed solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and consultants.
  • Participate in internal knowledge sharing and technical enablement activities.
  • Contribute to the development of standardized architectures, methodologies, and service offerings.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, industry trends, and vendor solutions.

Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in network, data center, and security engineering or architecture.
  • Experience in consulting, professional services, systems integration, or solution architecture roles.
