Job Description

We are looking for a smart, driven individual to join our Strategy & Operations team and help scale AI-enabled business process automation across Allstate Protection Plans. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong business judgment with hands-on technical problem solving and is excited to tackle complex operational challenges such as automating manual workflows, reducing errors and compliance gaps, and improving claim and service outcomes.

You will work at the intersection of operations, data, and technology, partnering closely with business teams, platform partners, and technical counterparts to translate operational needs into practical automation solutions.

In this high-visibility role, you will independently manage complex workstreams end-to-end (from process discovery and solution design through testing, deployment support, and iteration), contributing to scalable automation solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and control.   You will operate with autonomy, applying strong judgment to solve ambiguous problems while aligning with broader team objectives and seeking guidance on high-risk or novel challenges.

What’s great about this role?

  • Opportunity to help build and scale a core AI and automation capability across the organization.
  • Hands-on exposure to agentic automation platforms, AI workflow design, and enterprise process orchestration.
  • High visibility with senior leaders and cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to drive measurable impact through cycle-time reduction, cost savings, improved accuracy, and stronger operational controls.
  • A role that blends strategy, execution, and technology, with meaningful ownership and responsibility.

You’re our ideal candidate if you [are]:

  • Experienced in translating business problems into technical workflow designs, especially in automation, AI, or decision-support contexts.
  • Comfortable getting hands-on with workflow tools, low-code platforms, and lightweight scripting or data analysis to validate and support solutions.
  • Able to understand system inputs and outputs, APIs, business rules, exception handling, and handoffs between human and automated work.
  • Highly analytical, structured in problem-solving, with the ability to break down complex, ambiguous challenges into actionable components.  Comfortable working cross-functionally across business and technology teams and influencing outcomes within your domain.
  • Comfortable working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
  • Motivated by owning problems end-to-end, from analysis through execution and iteration across multiple stakeholders
  • Curious about applied AI and thoughtful about quality, controls, auditability, and responsible use in operational workflows.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Operations, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, analytics, process improvement, automation, or technology-enabled transformation roles.
  • Experience with AI workflow platforms, agentic AI tools, or intelligent automation frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience designing, deploying, supporting, or improving workflow automation solutions, ideally including AI-enabled or agentic workflows.
  • Proven ability to manage complex workstreams and deliver results across multiple stakeholders and systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, modeling, large dataset manipulation)
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL for querying, transforming, and validating operational datasets
  • Experience with Python or similar scripting languages for automation, data processing, or workflow validation
  • Working knowledge of APIs, JSON, system integrations, and workflow orchestration concepts such as decision logic, exception handling, retries, and human-in-the-loop design
  • Experience with low-code or automation platforms such as Power Automate or similar tools for building and deploying workflows; experience configuring AI workflow platforms is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with process mapping and process improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and scalable solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex concepts for business audiences.

Preferred:

  • Exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to support analysis and stakeholder communication
  • Experience working in operations, claims, or service environments
