Job Summary:
NEOGOV is looking for a Solution Architect to join the Office of the Indiana Attorney General, which has a long-standing commitment to serving the state and its residents. The Solution Architect will be responsible for designing end-to-end technical solutions that align with business goals and ensure scalability, security, performance, and cost-effectiveness, while collaborating with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• Design end-to-end solution architectures across applications, data, integration, and infrastructure layers
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performance technical solutions
• Define reference architectures, patterns, and best practices
• Create architecture diagrams, technical design documents (TADs), and solution blueprints
• Work with business leaders, product owners, and engineering teams to align solutions with business objectives
• Participate in client discussions, technical workshops, and solution reviews
• Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle
• Evaluate and recommend technology stacks, frameworks, and platforms
• Design solutions using cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Ensure alignment with security, compliance, and governance standards (HIPAA, SOC2, NIST, FedRAMP, etc.)
• Design API-driven and event-based integrations
• Architect data pipelines, data models, and analytics solutions
• Ensure data privacy, tenant isolation, and governance in multi-tenant systems
• Support engineering teams during development, testing, and deployment
• Review code and designs for architectural compliance
• Identify technical risks, performance bottlenecks, and scalability issues early
Qualifications:
Required:
• Strong experience in solution and system architecture
• Hands-on knowledge of cloud architecture (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• Experience with microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures
• Solid understanding of databases (SQL, NoSQL), data modeling, and caching
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization
• Experience with security, authentication, authorization, and compliance
• Knowledge of machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn)
• Experience with building and deploying AI models in production environments
• Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, and generative AI concepts
• Understanding of MLOps practices for model lifecycle management
• Hands-on experience with AI services on cloud platforms (AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, Google Vertex AI)
• Knowledge of prompt engineering and fine-tuning large language models (LLMs)
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Proven leadership and decision-making abilities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
Preferred:
• Cloud experiences (AWS Solution Architect, Azure Architect, GCP Architect)
