We are looking for a Solid Works Designer to join our team.

This position is currently open and reflects a replacement position due to an internal transfer, promotion, or departure.

The salary range for this position is 60,000-65,000 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity. This range is provided to ensure clarity and promote equitable access to employment opportunities.


When your actions lead to success:

  • Design and develop retail store fixtures, displays, cabinetry, and custom point-of-purchase solutions using SolidWorks.
  • Create detailed manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, Bills of Materials, and part lists for wood, metal, acrylic, and signage components.
  • Develop designs that can be efficiently fabricated using woodworking, CNC routing, sheet metal, and assembly processes.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, estimators, production teams, and customers to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet specifications.
  • Review customer drawings, design intent, and project requirements to develop practical manufacturing solutions.
  • Support production by resolving drawing issues, maintaining organized project documentation, and implementing design revisions throughout manufacturing.
  • Create and maintain standards for drawing organization, part numbering, and design documentation.

When your expertise drives us:

  • 2+ years of experience designing retail fixtures, store displays, cabinetry, millwork, commercial interiors, or custom manufactured products.
  • Strong knowledge of wood products, cabinetry construction methods, joinery, hardware, laminates, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience designing fabricated metal components including sheet metal, tube structures, brackets, and welded assemblies.
  • Proficient with SolidWorks for part, assembly, and production drawing creation.
  • Experience creating manufacturing-ready documentation and Bills of Materials.
  • Understanding of CNC machining, woodworking equipment, fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a focus on practical, buildable designs.

Considered an asset:

  • Experience in retail fixture, display, POP/POS, millwork, or commercial furniture industries.
  • Experience with Swood, Cabinet Vision, eCabinets, VCarve, Inventor, AutoCAD, or PDM/Vault systems.
  • Knowledge of CNC routing, nesting software, woodworking machinery, and manufacturing workflows.
  • Experience working directly with shop production teams and fabricators.
