We are seeking a creative and detailed-oriented SolidWorks Designer to help bring innovative concepts to life. As a SolidWorks Designer, youโ€™ll design complex 3D models and assemblies, manage part libraries, collaborate cross-functionally and support build activities. Ideal candidates are strong communicators, thrive in team environments, and bring fresh thinking to design challenges. Your future tasks:

  • Create complex 3D part models and assemblies using SolidWorks.
  • Create detailed drawings, including dimensioning and tolerancing using GD&T standards.
  • Manage part libraries.
  • Work directly with other departments (production, logistics, etc.) as needed.
  • Participate in build activities.
  • Design test racks, rack mount enclosures, bulkhead panels, etc.
  • Design fixtures (e.g. PCBA bed of nails).
  • Lead internal and external design reviews and production readiness reviews.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously at various stages.
Requirements:
  • Proficient in SolidWorks, with the ability to create conceptual and fully detailed designs.
  • Knowledge of advanced SolidWorks tools such as surfacing, sheet metal, and weldments.
  • Experience with creating detailed drawings, including dimensioning and tolerancing using GD&T standards.
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks PDM (Product Data Management) or equivalent data management tools.
  • Communication and time management skills.
  • Innovative design skills (thinking outside the box).
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Reuse and production mindset.
  • Willing to be hands-on.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree of an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, etc.).
  • Familiar with a test/verification environment.
  • Cross departmental experience (e.g. spent time in a machine shop).
  • Experience with JIRA or equivalent project management tools
  • Experience working in an AGILE environment.
  • Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatics design and build experience.
