Summary:

The "Quality Engineer" will be based in Austin Research Blvd, Texas reporting to Igor Besic.

What a typical day looks like:

Responsible for the development of test methods and procedures needed to determine the dimensional features of products, validation and production inspections of all products produced from manufacturing and assembly processes.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Experience with Metrology.
  • Apply fundamentalASME Y14.5 and/or ISO GPSprinciples to interpret, evaluate, and communicate dimensional and geometric requirements accurately.
  • Utilize2D and 3D CAD systems(e.g., SolidWorks, NX, Creo, MBD) to design, interpret and collaborat
  • Perform accurate measurements usingmanual inspection tools(dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, etc.) and assess measurement results for validity and repeatability.
  • Leverage understanding ofmanufacturing processes and common manufacturing defectsto anticipate variability,
  • Develop, execute, and maintain inspection programs usingCMM software platforms(e.g., DMIS, PC-DMIS, Calypso, Metrologic, Modus, MicroVU, GOM, Geomagic).
  • Be effectively with engineering and manufacturing.
  • May create and maintaincustom data-processing and automation tools(Python, JavaScript, Java, SQL, etc.) to enhance data analysis, reporting, and workflow efficiency.
  • May applybasic statistical methodsto measurement data, supporting evaluation of uncertainty, trends, and decision-making.
  • May support and applyMeasurement System Analysis (MSA)concepts to ensure reliable and capable measurement systems.
  • Continuously identify opportunities tooptimize processes, reduce waste, and improve productivity, balancing technical rigor with practical time constraints.
  • Love of clarity and simplicity in programs, design, documentation and reports
