Job description

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage mechanical design engineering activities for custom automation equipment and machinery.
  • Design and develop complex mechanical systems involving robotics, servo motion, machine vision, and automated equipment.
  • Provide engineering leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to design teams.
  • Perform structural analysis, FEA simulations, and design validations.
  • Create and review detailed mechanical drawings, assemblies, and documentation.
  • Apply GD&T principles and ensure compliance with ASME Y14.5 drafting standards.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams on mechanical assembly, testing, and design improvements.
  • Manage CAD design processes using SolidWorks, SolidWorks PDM, and AutoCAD.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for machine design, reliability, and performance.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in custom machine design and automation systems.
  • 3+ years of engineering leadership or team management experience.
  • Strong experience with FEA and structural analysis.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, SolidWorks PDM, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T and mechanical drafting standards (ASME Y14.5).
  • Hands‑on mechanical assembly and troubleshooting experience.
  • Strong problem‑solving, communication, and leadership skills.
