Summary
The material handler's responsibility is to support Molding, Assembly and Inventory management warehouse through issuing and returning raw materials to and from Operations and Warehouse.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare, issue and return raw materials, components, and packaging to the staging area on timely basis per dispatch.
  • Prepare, issue and return raw materials, components, and packaging to the staging area on timely basis per dispatch.
  • Compound/Blend colorants with base resin, utilizing material tumbler, scale and at time manually mixing and perform line clearance on material dryers at the end of their use per Quality system process
  • Reconcile (including correct material count), document and return unused raw materials, intermediate finished components and packaging to the warehouse for restocking upon job completion within ERP And complete all applicable documentation.
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counting and verification of inventory within Epicor or other systems.
  • Backup to operators.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education
High School Diploma/GED
Qualifications
  • 1+ years in a manufacturing environment
  • Able to become familiar with the many types of resins used in thermoplastic injection molding
  • Ability to do basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions and decimals)
  • Ability to use pallet jack and material handling equipment
  • Ability to become forklift and crane certified
  • Ability to read, write in English, comprehend and follow work instructions.
  • Ability to use a computer
