To thrive in Solid Surface Fabrication, you need expertise in material handling, precise measuring and cutting, and a solid understanding of fabrication techniques, often supported by relevant vocational training or apprenticeships. What is solid surface fabrication?

Solid surface fabrication is the process of designing, cutting, shaping, and assembling solid surface materials—such as Corian, Avonite, or HI-MACS—into countertops, sinks, wall cladding, and other architectural features. These materials are popular because they are durable, non-porous, and can be seamlessly joined for a smooth, uniform appearance. Fabricators use specialized tools to cut and finish the material, and they often work closely with designers and installers to create custom solutions for residential and commercial spaces.
