DMI is seeking a Solaris/LINUX System Administrator to join our team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and administering Oracle on Solaris and LINUX
  • Administer and setup Apache
  • Work with multi-tiered clustered environments
  • Serves as the lead specialist on Solaris issues and provide team coordination
  • Provide technical and infrastructure support services for Solaris OS based servers and systems, including but not limited to Systems Administration of UNIX (Solaris), DNSSec, SFTP and other Solaris based services
  • Administers and configures network hardware and software resources, such as servers, DNS, databases, and provides protocol and connectivity support to developers of web-enabled applications
  • Develops, monitors, and maintains utilities and procedures to perform periodic maintenance, backups, shutdowns, recoveries, and diagnostics
  • Evaluates, recommends, and installs software and hardware to facilitate and monitor network throughput and control load balancing
  • Ability to produce custom reports from the help desk tickets submitted by the users in timely manner.
  • Extensive experience communicating with the software system users on the regular basis to address their issues/requests.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Functional knowledge of relevant DoD hosted software systems.

Education and Years of Experience:  

  • Must have a BA/BS Diploma and 10 years of work experience.

Clearance Requirements: Must possess a Secret security clearance.

 

Citizenship Status Required: Must be a U.S. Citizen
