Position Overview
ITSC is seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to support mission-critical Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) systems for U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. Fourth Fleet. This position is responsible for administering secure enterprise systems, maintaining server environments, supporting cybersecurity initiatives, and ensuring the availability and reliability of critical operational networks.
Requirements
Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide systems administration support for C4I systems, including:
    • ENMS Lite
    • DCGS-N Increment 1 Block 2 (SIPR & JWICS)
    • ADSI v15
    • GCCS-J 4.3 U1
    • Radiant Mercury (RADMERC)
    • Video Teleconference (VTC) Systems
  • Perform 10-15 weekly vulnerability scans and patch management activities in accordance with DoD Information Assurance and Computer Network Defense requirements.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade system software and hardware.
  • Apply vendor updates, software patches, and security enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues while minimizing mission impact.
  • Maintain system documentation, configuration management records, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity policies and network security standards.
Secondary Responsibilities (Backup Network Engineer)
  • Support operation and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure, including:
    • Cisco routers and switches
    • Firewalls
    • TACLANE encryptors
    • Video teleconference systems
    • Enterprise servers
  • Assist with network design, engineering, installation, and implementation.
  • Maintain accountability for more than 150 IT assets supporting USNAVSOUTH/FOURTHFLT.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance
  • Experience administering Windows Server environments.
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and/or Solaris environments.
  • Experience configuring and administering Radiant Mercury (RADMERC).
  • Experience with Splunk configuration and administration.
  • Experience with Cisco routers and switches, including configuration, backup, and restoration.
  • Experience using ACAS vulnerability scanning software.
  • Experience using Wireshark for network analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Experience managing VMware vCenter, VMware Server, and VMware Workstation.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools.
  • Experience or training using BMC products.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and customer support skills.
Required Certifications
Must possess one of the following certifications at the time of hire:
  • Security+
  • Cloud+
  • GSEC
  • GICSP
  • SSCP

Additionally:
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
