We are seeking an Quality Engineer to oversee and optimize project execution within our solar manufacturing operations. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, managing timelines, ensuring compliance, and driving operational efficiency for solar production and deployment.

Location: Austin, TX

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Report to SolarEdge Quality Manager in NAM and will be part of SolarEdge team located at Austin TX, USA.
  • Support the Quality Manager to implement improved monitoring methods and lesson learn activities on the production line.
  • Cooperate with Local EMS teams to monitor and improve the Quality and the performance of SolarEdge Products manufactured in Felx, TX
  • Responsible to investigate the root cause of workmanship-related failures and lead EMS teams for CAPA/SCAR implementation.
  • Lead implementations of improvement plans and actions that shall result in improved production FPYs and Fielded Reliability.
  • Cooperate with SolarEdge Head Quarters Quality and Reliability members and support the global Quality and Reliability targets and goals.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • Additional education in Quality as a minimum, Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) is an advantage.
  • At least 3 years experience in Quality of multidisciplinary electronics mass production at OEM Contract Manufacturers.
  • Proven experience in different production methodologies, technologies, and processes of High-end Electronics, Electro-Mechanics, and Mechanical Products.
  • The Quality Engineer shall have knowledge of reading Electrical and Mechanical drawings and good technical skills for the assembly of modules/systems.
  • Good Personal skills.
  • Good knowledge in computing Microsoft Office-must, others-advantage.
  • Ability to identify, log, and/or troubleshoot issues that arise during production.
  • Certification in IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, IPC-7011/7021, J-STD-002/003 preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
  • Good verbal and writing skills.
