Job description

ION Solar is one of the nation's fastest-growing, full-service residential solar companies. With offices in eight states across the country and a growing workforce of over 700 employees, ION Solar is providing a simple, affordable way for homeowners to switch to solar.
The inspection scheduling specialist actively manages the inspection calendar in their assigned market. This includes coordinating appointments with homeowners, city building departments, and ION Solar Inspection technicians. A strong candidate is detail-oriented with great customer service skills, good instincts, great problem-solving, and sound judgment for balancing quality, productivity, and team morale. This person will need to be adaptable to the fast-paced, ever-changing nature of solar.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all projects in their assigned area progressing quickly through the inspection process.
  • Perform project audits to ensure a project is ready for inspection.
  • Schedule inspections with homeowners while coordinating with city officials and Field Technicians.
  • Follow up within 1 business day on completed inspections and explain results to homeowners.
  • Effectively communicate to homeowners any needed fixes and generate service tickets for needed changes.
  • Complete all necessary tasks to move projects along to the Utility and PTO teams.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:
Fast-paced, open floor office environment with significant computer and phone usage. Utilization of complex systems. Speed and accuracy are essential to the successful completion of tasks.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Regular requirement to talk, or hear; frequent requirement to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 20 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office. May encounter interruptions throughout the work day.
