Job Title: HSE Manager

We are looking for an experienced HSE Coordinator with expertise in renewable energy, particularly in solar field operations, to join our team.

The HSE Manager will be responsible for implementing, managing, and continuously improving health, safety, and environmental practices for solar energy projects throughout the US. This role requires a strong understanding of HSE regulations, renewable energy technologies, and solar field operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing safety and environmental compliance within the renewable energy sector and will be able to lead efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of all personnel and the protection of the environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for solar field projects.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor adherence to safety protocols and identify potential hazards or environmental risks.
  • Collaborate with project managers and field teams to develop site-specific HSE plans and strategies.
  • Lead safety meetings, training sessions, and emergency response drills for all team members and contractors.
  • Conduct risk assessments, accident investigations, and root cause analysis for any incidents or near misses.
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting of HSE activities, including incident reports, safety audits, and environmental monitoring.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, best practices, and innovations related to renewable energy and solar field operations.
  • Support the implementation of sustainable practices to minimize the environmental impact of solar field installations and maintenance.
  • Provide guidance and support to contractors and subcontractors regarding HSE compliance and best practices.
  • Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility among all project personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), or equivalent HSE certification.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in HSE Management, with at least 2 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, specifically in solar field operations.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental standards, and best practices in renewable energy and construction safety.
  • Experience in developing and delivering HSE training programs.
  • Proven ability to assess and manage risks associated with solar field construction and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of environmental impact assessments and sustainable energy practices is a plus.
