XL Pro Staffing and Consulting is NOW HIRING for Equipment Technicians II!

Compensation: $25.00 - $31.00 Hourly (DOE)

Levels Available: Technician I, II, III

Schedule: Shifts are 12 hours and rotating days with day rate differential.

A-Shift 6AM-6PM – Sunday-Wednesday

B-Shift 6PM-6AM – Sunday-Wednesday

C-Shift 6AM-6PM – Wednesday - Saturday

D-Shift 6PM-6AM – Wednesday - Saturday

Location: Wilmer, TX 75172

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Equipment Technician 2 to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated production equipment. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, hands-on experience with machine controls and robotics, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3–5 years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated equipment
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including motors, pumps, valves, sensors, PLCs, and ladder logic
  • Hands-on experience with machine control and industrial robotics
  • Knowledge of electrical and pneumatic systems
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, calipers)
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred (Not Required):

  • Experience in the solar industry or with solar panel manufacturing equipment (lamination, soldering machines)
  • Previous experience in a production or manufacturing setting

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to minimize downtime
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic issues
  • Repair and replace machine components (motors, bearings, belts, sensors, wiring)
  • Inspect and maintain production equipment such as conveyors, presses, cutting, and packaging machinery
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
  • Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment
  • Read and interpret schematics and manuals to perform accurate repairs
  • Collaborate with production teams to improve efficiency and equipment performance
  • Train new technicians on equipment operation and maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work area

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods
