Job description

We're currently seeking a Solar Electrical Apprentice to assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar electrical systems. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the solar industry while working alongside experienced electricians and technicians. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing solar panels and related equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work and experience with solar panel installation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Electrical Wiring: Inspect electrical systems and equipment for any damage, malfunctions, and safety hazards. Proficiently connect solar power systems to building electrical systems, including knowledge of AC and DC circuits, conduits, and junction boxes.
  • System Maintenance: Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with solar systems
  • Safety Compliance: Prioritize safety at all times, adhering to industry best practices and safety protocols while working at heights and with electrical components. Ensure compliance with all systems.
  • AC System Integration: Skillfully integrate solar power systems with existing AC electrical systems, including grid-tied and hybrid systems, to optimize energy production and consumption.
  • Customer Communication: Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, explaining system functionality, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:
• Working towards obtaining Journeyman license required & OSHA 10 required
• Experience with solar panel installation and maintenance is a plus
• Understanding of electrical systems and codes
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
