Position/Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Design Engineer to join our solar engineering team. This role is pivotal in supporting the design and development of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems by producing accurate layouts, performing material takeoffs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success from concept to construction.


Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed solar PV system layouts using CAD and solar design software (e.g., Helioscope, Aurora Solar, AutoCAD).

Perform comprehensive material takeoffs for commercial, and utility-scale projects.

Interpret site plans, architectural drawings, and electrical schematics to create optimized solar designs.

Collaborate with sales, project management, engineering and product teams to ensure designs meet client requirements and code compliance.

Conduct shading analysis, energy production estimates, and system sizing.

Maintain design documentation and update project files throughout the lifecycle.

Assist in permitting and interconnection documentation preparation.

Stay current with industry standards, building codes, and PV, EV, and BESS technologies.
