Job description

Responsibilities

  • Assist with ground-mounted and roof mount solar installations under the supervision of a foreman.
  • Haul and move solar materials, equipment, and components safely across the job site.
  • Use hand tools to assemble solar panels, racking, and related structures according to instructions and project specifications.
  • Support the installation of photovoltaic (PV) systems, including basic setup and alignment of panels and racking.
  • Follow construction site safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in the field.
  • Assist electricians and installers as needed with basic tasks related to solar inverters and electrical components, within allowed scope.
  • Perform general labor tasks such as loading and unloading materials, site preparation, and cleanup.
  • Communicate effectively with the foreman and team members to complete daily work assignments on schedule.
  • Adapt to changing site conditions and tasks while working outdoors in varying weather.

Essential Skills

  • At least 6 months of experience working as a solar installer
  • Experience performing general construction or labor tasks on active job sites.
  • Basic familiarity with solar installations, including PV systems, panels, and racking.
  • Ability to use common hand tools safely and effectively for assembly work.
